This is really when he came into his own. Dewey Redman is crazily soulful and the whole thing is alive. I love Common Mama especially. Paul Motian and Airto really blaze-out an infectious Afro-Carribean groove and when the band, after 6 minutes or so, gets around to stating the delightfully catchy melody it just keeps taking you higher and higher with ultra-hip modulations. Jazz DJs take note, this is a hit.
